Problem
When Betterview, a Property Intelligence & Risk Management Platform, initially engaged HR Advantage Group, they faced a range of human resource challenges. As a fast paced, high growth start-up, the Betterview leadership team identified the need for a comprehensive approach to people operations and practices. The company had gone through a few HR leaders/administrators who were not developing relationships with team members nor were they implementing effective HR best practices. Leaderships’ concerns were threefold, containing costs while scaling operations and addressing the lack of employee resources.
Solution
In response to Betterview’s challenges, our HR company implemented a strategic array of solutions and services. Initially, we conducted an HR audit to identify key areas of concerns that allowed us to prioritize projects and ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Over time, we initiated system implementations, integrating platforms such as Lattice and Rippling to streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency. Recognizing the importance of a competitive benefits package, we undertook a thorough revision and planning exercise to align Betterview’s offerings with industry standards. Adjustments to compensation structures, equity considerations, creating best practices in onboarding, and off boarding were key projects. Additionally, we addressed employee issues, implemented performance evaluations, and provided support during merger and acquisition activities.

Through identifying best practices, implementing streamlined systems and the overhaul of benefits and compensation structures we helped to not only improve HR operations but also contributed to cost containment.
